Amazing photo quality results can be achieved on granite and marble surfaces.  When the laser fires on the surface it makes a brilliant white marking that is great for halftone style photography as well as line drawings. These tiles can be sealed and set into floors, walls, and anywhere else you would use a standard tile.

Ceramic Tile

The top layer of ceramic tile can be lasered to reveal a porous surface that will absorb pigment. The tile can then be resealed and set in the same manner you would set a floor or wall tile. Works best with line art. Large murals style patterns can be achieved.

This hearth for a woodstove was made from 12 tiles engraved with a tight tolerance so the pattern would line up when the tiles were set. The original design was scanned from an 11x17 inch pencil drawing. the tiles are 12x12 inch.
